MONTERREY, Mexico–Alcoa operations in Monterrey, Mexico has been named by Great Place to
Work® Institute as one of the top companies for employees in the Mexican
workplace. The Monterrey facility competed against more than 600
companies and placed 12th on the 2011 list with 500-5,000
employees and multinationals. The facility also ranked among the top 50
places to work within the Latin American market, competing against
almost 2,000 companies. This is the first time Alcoa’s Monterrey
facility has earned recognition on this list.

Alcoa’s Monterrey facility also recently celebrated the distinction for
holding the number one position at Alcoa for 2010 employee engagement
scores, measured by the company’s annual Global Voices employee survey.
Additionally, the location placed sixth in the “most improved category”
in the survey.

Institute Mexico, the main objectives of the rankings are to facilitate
knowledge management and sharing experiences among all those
organizations who know how to get the best results from business is to
improve the quality of their workplaces.
